How Readigo Works

Three steps. Your kid reads aloud, the AI listens and helps, and you see the progress.

STEP 01

Pick a Story

Browse the library by age, genre, or difficulty. Classic tales, adventures, science — even Manga Mode with comic panels. Your kid picks what sounds fun.

STEP 02

Read Aloud to Igo

Your kid reads into the mic. Igo follows along word by word, highlighting the text as they go. The AI listens for pronunciation, fluency, pacing, and clarity.

STEP 03

Get Scores and Improve

After each page, Readigo shows how they did — which words to practice, what's getting better. Over time, you can track accuracy, streaks, and how much they're reading in the Parent Dashboard.

Common Questions

How does the AI actually work?

Readigo uses speech recognition (Whisper ASR) built for children's voices. It transcribes what your kid says, compares it to the text, and scores four things: Accuracy, Fluency, Pacing, and Clarity. Results show up in under 3 seconds.

Does my child need to read perfectly?

Not even close. Readigo is made for learners. The AI adjusts to your kid's level and gives encouraging, helpful feedback — never criticism.

Can it work with background noise?

It works best in a reasonably quiet room. The AI handles some background noise, but quieter is better for accuracy.

How much time should my child spend per session?

About 10–15 minutes a day is the sweet spot. Research shows short, regular practice beats long, occasional sessions every time.
