Press - Readigo: Reading Practice for Kids 6–12

Writing about Readigo? Here's what most journalists ask for - facts, framing, and research explainers.

About Readigo

Readigo is an iOS app for kids ages 6–12. It listens while a child reads aloud and scores the reading in real time. Readigo uses speech recognition tuned for children's voices, then grades four things: accuracy, fluency, pace, and clarity, using phonics rules from the Science of Reading. Most apps for this age don't score reading aloud. Readigo is built to do exactly that. It aligns with structured literacy and the five pillars of the National Reading Panel (2000): phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Tested with 1,000+ families before launch. Manga Mode adds comic-panel stories with the same pronunciation scoring. COPPA-compliant, with no ads and no third-party tracking of kids.
