Every kid got their own map
Ten pumpkins on ten screens, and a different hiding spot for every child. A hash of each account picked the spots, so a friend's screenshot sent you to the wrong corner. An empty slot on the Halloween card gave a hint that named the screen, never the spot. Full rules: the post that announced the challenge.

35 hints for a pumpkin that was right there
A third of all hint taps went to the pumpkin on Home. Its hint, in full: “This one is right here on Home. Look closely!” It was. On our test account it sat on the tile right under the card.

Pumpkin #10 hid at the end of a story
Only 6 hunters found it. It showed up on the screen after a finished story, and its hint said: “This one waits for you after you finish a story.” Stories in Readigo need Premium, so without it a child could find nine at most.

Spoiler: who took the pumpkins
Little Ghost. Igo forgot to invite it to the party. That's the twist of Igo's Pumpkin Party, the four-episode story that came with the hunt, in English, Ukrainian, Spanish, Polish, French and German. It's still in the Library for kids with Readigo Premium.
3 entries, 3 winners, odds of 100%
To enter, a child needed all ten pumpkins and all four episodes. Three kids made it. A parent confirmed each entry, and our server checked both conditions. On November 1 a script drew the winners anyway: it took a snapshot of the entries, fingerprinted it with SHA-256 and picked with a cryptographic random number generator. Three winners out of three entries. The winning codes: #28E3B8, #653900 and #964354. The app shows codes only, no names. The three families use the app in three different languages, and everyone who entered keeps Igo's pumpkin hat.

Two gift cards sent, one still waiting
#964354 and #653900 have their $25 Amazon gift cards (as of November 5, 2026). #28E3B8, yours is waiting. Open Readigo by November 15: the claim button is on the Halloween card on Home, and a parent fills in a short form behind the parent check. Readigo ran the draw. Apple is not a sponsor and was not involved. Amazon is not a sponsor of this promotion.
The fine print: how we counted
The hunt numbers come from the app's analytics for October 15 to November 5, 2026, every country included. Hint numbers count taps, not kids. The draw numbers come from the draw's own record. Ukraine is in. Our monthly reports leave it out because our team tests the app there; if one of the Ukrainian devices was ours, the totals drop by 21 pumpkins and 3 hunters at most. A few pumpkins were found on October 18 and 19, before the update was out, most likely by Apple's review or our own testing. We left out how many times the story was read: a few accounts read it again and again, so the total would describe them, not kids. We don't name the 12 countries, because with 21 hunters one name could point to one family. The screenshots come from the real app on a test account. No child's screen is shown.
